Bring your students to the house where the modern presidency began! An immersive, guided tour invites them to step back in time — where they will witness and come to understand the historic, world-changing events that took place in Buffalo during September, 1901.
Educational Programs can be added to the field trip experience, allowing students to extend their learning.
History comes to life for students during a tour of the TR Site. A visit to the Pan-American Exposition sets the stage for a shocking and tragic assassination. Time is of the essence as Theodore Roosevelt rushes to Buffalo to be inaugurated and — along the way — considers the social and cultural issues that will shape his presidency. In addition to “witnessing” TR’s highly unusual inauguration in the meticulously-restored library, students can explore a variety of interactive exhibits that highlight the impact of Roosevelt’s presidency on the nation and the world.
