This unique program will explore music’s role in celebrating #America250 and commemorating the 125th Anniversary of Buffalo’s Pan-Am Expo.

Award-winning composer Glenn McClure will join us to unpack his newly-created choral/orchestral setting for Frances Harper’s influential 1895 poem “Songs for the People.”

The music reimagines a vision for America that the acclaimed poet shared with Theodore Roosevelt, and continues to resonate with today’s audiences.

McClure’s insights will be enhanced by vocal excerpts & stylings from the Buffalo Choral Arts Society.

This program will take place at First Presbyterian Church (One Symphony Circle, Buffalo).
