Lesson Plans

The TR Site offers a variety of lesson plans for 4th-12th grade teachers. The lesson plans were developed by curriculum development professionals in conjunction with working teachers.

The lesson plans utilize the Inquiry Design Model and are ready-to-use. Each lesson plan includes: a Compelling Question, Supporting Questions, Performance Tasks, as well as a selection of resources students will need to explore the topic and form/defend their own conclusions.

Your Support Matters

The TR Site’s daily operations are managed by the Buffalo-based Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site Foundation through a cooperative agreement with the National Park Service (NPS). The Foundation raises nearly two-thirds of the museum’s annual operating costs through various fundraising efforts as well as grants and donations.
